Minefield this one. No one will come out and give a clear indication. My view is that when you have completed your WBB obligations you can go anywhere and return when you want. There are obviously problems if your club are committed to a cup competition (say National Cup). You would have to declare your Primary Club.
Only today someone has posted comments that David Lowe has said that NCL suspensions must be served with NCL clubs If a player returns from another club they must still serve them. That indicates to me that there would be no problem.
I know at St Maries we are releasing any players signed from NCL clubs who want to go when they want to go. If St Maries state that a players obligations to them are complete he would be a free agent and can sign anywhere

you need to make an agreement with a secondary club that they will de-register you when you want to return to westbank and hope that they honour it . Minefield this ste , the powers that be are giving cross indications as to whatever suits their position. If you approach it in the way i have suggested then the need for transfers is negated  so hopefully will not cause any problems (no guarantee though, this is rl )just give yourself a couple of weeks in between so as not to fall foul of any rulings. Ask your self the question though mate is all year round rugby doing you any favours?

You can sign for a NWC club( winter ) as long as you stay with them till there season is over then you can go back to your summer club.

I have had this comfrimed by 2 members of the NWC committee...how they are going to police this dont ask me unless BARLA and RL have come to an arrangement .

What size shorts do you take Roll Eyes

The NWC aint interested in Widnes Cups or Summer rugby...I Myself was wondering when the Widnes Cup will be played our season would be over around mid Feb..unless we have a bout of ice.should be loads of time to play the wid/cup.

I asked the question last night at the NWML meeting. There is either a meeting on 13th December or an announcement as to how these registrations/transfers are going to work. My own thought is that the NCL will just reregister players without the need for a transfer. But hopefully a sensible way forward other then the Primary & Secondary registration nonsense will come through on the 13th.

That is exactly what is in place now but if the Primary club do not want to release the player, then what

they should have no choice a player should be able to play wherever he/she wants without people trying to stop them.

As the game is Amateur, unpaid and played for 'fun', it should be made as easy as possible for players to transfer from Club to Club.
