................. next season has been done as a tribute to Dana Wilson.

The colours are white, green and yellow, as are the Cook Islands' from where he came, and on the back there's the words RIP DANA WILSON.

A fitting tribute to the big man from my club, and I shall wear mine with pride.

I've not got a picture of it, but I would imagine it'll be on our website soon.

Not to my knowledge, but would the police have released the body for burial and re-patriation had there been any "dodgy" circumstances?

I don't know as I'm not a lawyer, but perhaps you're far more au fait with the laws of this land than is a humble Lion!

and if he were under the influence of alcohol as the paper appears to suggest, would your notoriously draconian views change? would you still be happy wearing the shirt?

was this the guy that battered dave allen when he played for leigh?

still, too early to die.

I am not bullying anyone, I was making reference to a locally published story, that may indicate that the player lost his life as a result of his own foolish, and dangerous antics, Im sure you would feel differently if one of your family had been mown down by a drunk driver?

Whilst wishing to disassociate myself with the general undertone of this thread - Was it Dave Allen or are you thinking of the incident when Mark Smith had his arms pinned back whilst a third attacker hit him?

Firstly, I didnt make any tribute to Dave Myers
Secondly, I wasn't aware of any untoward circumstances surrounding his accident? Were there any?

The original post on this thread is about a club who are paying tribute to a player who, regardless of circumstances, has had his life cut tragically short - let's leave it at that.  At the moment the investigation appoears to be ongoing, and even if any of you then feel the need to sling mud, this thread is not the place to do it IMO

I raised this thread about our away shirt, and it's now changed to a "A who smacked who and when?" scenario. I ask the mods, is it time to close it? But meantime...................

I ask again, "Would the body have been released for the funeral had there been any circumstances not to?" I admit that I don't know, but with my very limited knowledge of the law, I would suggest it wouldn't have, but..........................

Maybe out there we've got someone who enlighten us / me? But.....................

Until then, I'll continue believe (and what is the law of the land) innocent until proven guilty! Tell me I'm wrong for that!

Whether innocent or guilty I think he has paid a pretty high price so maybe we should leave it at that.
