I've already cancelled. Online banking my friend. Its the future.   What on earth makes you think that someone wouldn't cancel it?

Fair do's, it's a charity bash - bit of a step up from the Grasshoppers though!

Has he actually played for Preston yet, if so at 9 (presumably) or 10, and how did he go?

A mate of mine from work watched him play and said he looked pretty awful! Looked abit lost on the pitch I believe.  He probably got bored and started daydreaming.....

I think it was Granada reports who did a piece on him covering his first game for Preston and Long himself admitted he was abit lost and did not fully understand all of the rules yet.

It takes a while for all players to adjust from one code to another, anyone remember how Thomas got on in his first game of RL (check youtube  Wink)

Aye, he has. Started as 13 (outside centre i think). Didnt do to good and grasshoppers were on the losing side

Centre surprises me a little, thought they'd have chucked him in at scrum half (yes, 13 is o/s centre)

There is a world of difference between the two codes - my lad played union for a while and there are a lot more technical offences and the advantage is played more often - and I'm still scratching my head on what was happening

Absolutely.  To understand why some offences are penalised you need to have some one explain why in detail.  I played hooker in RU for three years and there is now no equivalent postion in RL.
