Believe Castleford will be looking into disciplinary issues relating to Richard Owen at a hearing that will take place tomorrow with his agent in attendance.

Attacking full back in more than one sense...

Cant see it being more than a fine/rap on the knuckles, especially after they gave him a contract extension

With Millward saying : "He's young, a local guy, and has an abundance of speed, and I believe that we'll be able to get some more value out of him by giving him opportunities across the backline.

"Our priority has been to secure important players for the future and that has been achieved with Richie and Rangi Chase and we're also looking at some of our younger guys too."

Castleford Tigers star Richie Owen has been arrested and bailed in connection with a punch-up involving men dressed as Santa Claus.

The Castleford Tigers full-back was held on suspicion of assault following an alleged incident in Pontefract shortly after midnight on Boxing Day.

It is understood that Owen, 21, was taken to the town’s police station and was later released on bail pending further police inquiries.

The police were called to a report of men dressed in Father Christmas costumes fighting in Beastfair in Pontefract town centre.

A man was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw.

So he's been involved in two separate incidents?

That's what it reads like to me.
