DLM i understand were you are coming from but i dont personally think john or bank quay as a club wud try and persuade people to leave winter for summer. i just think think clubs have just followed themselves thats all. I personally dont know if summer rugby in nwc will work or not however it isnt going to kill the game to try. If it doesnt work then clubs can always move back to winter.
i do think there will be clubs who will miss a lot of players for holidays, time with kids over school holidays etc etc. i personally think a 2 month break december and january would of been the best answer but i look fwd to watching some good summer rugby from now on.

DLM seems to be saying what most were thinking if were being honest.
Personally I'm new to the amateur scene at an open age level but recently the attitude seemed to be it's summer or nothing. Why? Surely having the winter option still available is a must! Otherwise it's a typical RFL boom or bust tactic full stop.
The fact it took a long time for sides to move showed there was a reluctance to move, however a bit like dominoes it was always the case that once a few of the bigger sides went over the rest would follow suit.

but how is teams switching to summer Bank Quay's fault They were just the first NWC premier team to switch thats all The amount of disrespect shown from Bank Quay people to both the winter leagues and the teams that have chosen to stay in winter is unbelievable.
Don't forget there is an awful lot of people put years of work in to the running of the NWC winter leagues and yet you who have happily played winter for years untill this push for summer are basically trying to cast it away as history and seemingly hoping that the clubs that don't switch to summer actually die away.
I am not against summer personally but I feel the way its been done with the big push from the RFL helped massively by Bank Quay in the NWC to persuade/force teams over to summer is just wrong.
DLM
Taking people's thoughts on BQB I'm sure the RFL would have picked a different club to spearhead the force over to summer lol... If teams wanted to stay winter then stay its simple really P.S. Danny & John don't bite with the name calling and get banned ( which IMO is the plan of a few )

Respect obviously emanates from Dallam St right through to its supporters! Can I ask why BQB are on this forum at all? Isn't that what RL Fans is for?? Can't you go a make a Warrington forum where you can be as disrespectful and childish to more like minded Twixes? I await your name calling We have one http://www.trustinwidnes.com/forum/index.php/board,55.0.html ( Thanks LV ) As this topic is more or less about Tier 4 Summer rugby we shall contribute

Just get on with it summer is what it is if the winter game dies then the club that stay winter will also die, hopefully this aint the case but only time will tell. and stop telling teams to leave wint bank quay lol

I dont subscribe to this BQB conspiraty
And i dont think we should fall out over summer/winter issues what will be will be
After all its all the same game we play/support its just sad that the winter game may go and there will be less hours or options for lads to play the game they love.
myself i look forward to the summer games starting with the Bears v BQB friendly....

to be honest i think the switch needs to be all or nothing coz if there are 2 leagues ie; winter and summer you will get lads wanting to play all year round and joining winter clubs after the end of their summer campaign now in theory theres nothing wrong with that but if you play for a lower league club like myself i for one do not wanna come up against the likes of bank quay lads playin for some1 in the winter bit too high a level for me at my age though i did enjoy a few "charity" game against the bulls a few years back i wouldnt like to meet them in a competetive match at my old stage of life lol

LV gave them their own section which in its self makes a mockery of the WIDNES board. What will Trust in Widnes do next sponsor BQB? As CJL says why can they not form a Warrington board (with LV's help if necessary) then we in Widnes can read their board when we require. In my case that would be never. There are forums covering just about everything let BQB go on them.

How r BQB making a mockery of this forum?? The topic is about summer and winter rugby. We gave our opinions on this and I know the CLUB have never had an input to any clubs going summer. It only wen pilks ashton and brook decided to go along with us the rest followed. Think u may need take that up with the RFL as to y all clubs have gone all of a sudden. There is a lot more people on here from clubs outside of widnes, do u want them off too?? Forums are about opinions and anyone accepted on here is entitled to them.

I think its pathetic how ppl r sayin ppl from bqb shudnt b allowed on ere. I personally think the bq lads add a lot to the board n think any1 shud b allowed to ave ther opinions on ere. N as for them makin ppl go summer is bull s**t. Teams ave moved summer for a number of reasons, such as... To play at the same time as ther youth [so wen they under 18s finish they dnt lose them to other teams], To play abetter standard of rugby or even to eventually proggress in ncl. Dnt understand y ppl r knockin summer rugby. Give it a chance.

This isn't about summer or winter or who said what or who made who do whatever. The problem I have is the attitude of the bqb posters (perhaps a bit harsh on Braddish) I love a bit of banter and this forum has been great for widnes amateur rugby as a source of info and banter for years but all of a sudden we are having to read the spanglese that certain bqb members are posting. I wasn't in objection to the separate bqb section but would appreciate if there cow-spangles was posted on there. But afterall they are Bank Quay Bulls and they "do what they want" What next, invite the whole of Warrington to join the Widnes Amatuer Forum, I bloody hope not.

The only other people on here from BQB apart from Braddish is my self and Danny Please show any post's that offended you ! This topic was started by a Non Widnes team player ( I don't see any call for him to go away ) about teams switching to Summer its no good us putting our opinion on the subject in the BQ section is it !

I have no problem with John or Danny, both good lads who enjoy the banter(especially Danny after he's been on the ale ) as for Orford, never met the guy but he seems alright, and i dont think he means to rub people up the wrong way! LET THE QUAY 3 STAY
