Halton travelled to Leeds knowing that they couldn't slip up if they are to stay in touch with the top of the League and had to fight all the way to secure the points ,Stanningley come out the blocks at Halton taking and early ten point lead with Halton pulling a try back just before the half ,following a half time chat with the coach Halton came out for the second half with a differant mentallity scoring two quick tries to go into a 12-10 lead however a lapse in concentration allowed the hosts a score under the sticks and it was all on after this Halton having two tries disallowed as nerves started to show however a slick move saw the outstanding Crowl crash over and Hennesey convert for Halton to take the lead at 18 -16 with 5 to go ,Stanningley threw everything at Halton but the line stood resolute.Next up for Halton is a trip to Batley and another must win game.
