http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/16535359.stmYou'd have to say, if you have a full-tme "normal" job and then train twice a week and play rugby at weekend for £1200 a month, its not bad at all. all players on the same terms. What were lads at Widnes onlast year then?

I have read that as £1200 per month for his job with the club. Further down it then states he will be on the same terms as all other players, so that means all players are on say £150 win, £50 lose money or something along those lines. It just happens that Cooke works for the club were as other players have jobs outside of the club.
If all players were on £1200 a month then they would be way over the cap so has to be the above.

The last two posts entirely contradict each other... so which one are we going to go with?
The correct answer of course is neither of them... the £1200 per month is combined salary for both his playing duties and a full time community position with the club

i'm on the same rubbish wage 'post tax' and I am guessing this 1200 is pre tax. I can't even afford to have my own place on this wage as well as run a car so I very much doubt he is managing to live off 1200 pre tax. the statement says his monthly wage is £1200 and he also has a full time job in the community so it is just a guess that he is also on a full time salary for this although don't quote me

I posted what has been confirmed as the case with the Doncaster club by friend in the media... I didn't 'guess' at what he may or may not be earning

where is your post to say that it has been confirmed that the monthly salary of £1200 relates to both playing and his job in the community?

You'll spot it... it's the one that doesn't start: I think / I guess (delete as applicable) Unlike all the guessers on here I checked with a creditable source to find out the facts... pretty savvy of me I'm sure you'll agree
