Thinking of getting an iPhone as well, as I don't have a contract with anyone at the moment does anyone have any tips to make sure I get the best deal?

I don't mean don't get one, was referring to your message on an earlier thread re getting a good deal, how all the networks keep the price high on the iPhone , hence to get the best deal, don't get an iPhone

iPhone due to arrive Monday. Going to bamboozle me I KNOW but have to see what the fuss is about. The fact that it talks to you freaks me out a bit tough. Researched all the other "smart" phones and it does seem to come out on top of most reviews. We'll see........

Not true, they are over priced and you can get Androids for much better. The Android market is also faster growing than Apple.

The phone I have is bigger and lighter than the iPhone, has a much better camera and RAM. I can upgrade my SD card in order to get more memory and it does everything the iPhone does.

The iPhone is a good phone, but very over-rated IMO. And vastly over priced, as are most things with Apple.

My only gripe with my Android phone is that while the storage can be increased by swapping the SD card, the internal storage is still key to how many apps you can run on there... I have loads of SD card space available, but regularly fail to get updates because the internal storage is down to about 15MB or so

So why is the iPhone better and in most cases worth over double the contract price I'm paying?

Which deal / handset have you got EFC? Need to replace my lads handset shortly, his Orange contract is due up and I'm looking round for a better deal. He's going on 17 so uses it quite a lot

i love my iphone and would strongly reccommend. there are a couple of small negatives but overall they are great. although if you already have an ipad it's pointless as it's the same thing just ipads are obviously on a larger scale and have no telephone capability..all same apps available etc. you can get decent deals now on the iphone4 due to the iphone4 S being released

I got the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc for £21.50 a month. With that it was a free handset (which bought brand new is £400) 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb of internet. On O2
