Given they have asked supporters I expect they are looking for something that has never been done before and something that will heighten the sense of anticipation and create even more atmosphere prior to the team entering the field.
I won't be entering so if anyone wants to put forward Columbia by Oasis be my guest.

Atmosphere is created by fans mate, not music over a tannoy. But I like your choice of columbia. That or up  in the sky Wink

I hope this last entry could get through, this would be the perfect walk on song, would look so good for our superleague entrance and will look so good on Sky on Friday night.  I am talkin about Two steps from hell - Heart of Courage

Feuer Frei! By Rammstein.

It's in German, no one will know what it's on about, it was used in the XXX Vin Diesel film, starts quite then explodes! Perfect

I like the idea of turning the floodlights off, they do it at the Basketball at the Northgate and you can feel the anticipation build up.  Its really effective.

Well after all the hype I'm sorry to say it was an anti-climax, the slow part of 'Conquest of Paradise' then cutting to 'Mission Impossible' didn't work for me and then it running on so long that it drowned out the Widnes fans cheering. The PA system sounded better to me though on a plus point.
I thought Salford were gonna get it right tonight when they dimmed their lights for the build up but then came out to 'The boys are back in town' which would have worked for us but didn't seem applicable to them. Did anybody else think that their firework display went wrong, some didn't appear to go off properly or finished beforethey should have and then that poor sod with the wheelbarrow holding up the star of the game Grin

The entire build up seemed amatuer.

Compare it to last time in super league when Scarts burst out of the tunnel. There was no timing, no sense of anticipation or showmanship with the entry. Mission Impossible theme was a no-no. Name that tune was a damp squib, need a banging piece of music that is consistent every week so the fans and players know it is game time... I was expecting alot more from a regime at the club who appear to be polished in self promotion and media.

If it was not important why do this???

http://www.widnesvikings.co.uk/article.php?id=6956

Who chose it?

In my opinion it was an opportunity lost to create/develop an intimidating atmosphere for a new Wakefield team and get more out of our speccy's.
