This will also be a big RFL event as Medway is one of the biggest RL development areas in the London region - The RFL are organising a full weekend with a range of RL matches, including a demonstration game between Mersey Storm (nee Vikings) and Medway Dragons Wheelchair Tag RL.

Tbh, London did say they were to take 2 games away from the Stoop, as something is going on there, on the 2 games they play away.

Medway is a lovely part of the world, wish the Widnes game was at Gillingham, because the there are some lovely hotels down the road in Rochester and Chatham.

Rugby League needs a London club. Don't shoot me, it's just what I believe. The game looks better for it.

However, I'd prefer to see them consolidating in London first, before they look to increase awareness in a town 50 miles away. 3,000 diehards isn't enough and unless they want to be known as Gillingham Broncos, they need to concentrate on the 8 million they already have access to in London.

Not sure why, but I really don't think this is about raising awareness.

It would be great to have a London Club.  But from its start the foundations were weak.  The early London teams were mostly Australians coming over for the Beer Festivals and trying to earn some money to satisfy their thirsts.

The real way to start should have been getting a permanent base and building in the community around it.  The same way as Crusaders did ;)n't!
