I am amazed by some of the car insurance quotes on this thread.

My wife insures her BMW 520 Estate for business use as well as private. She has 3 points on her license, had a claim for vandalism last year (scumbag with a screwdriver) and includes me on the policy with an accident last year. Annual cost £400 with Aviva.

My eldest boy has a 1.25 Fiesta. He passed his test in Feb 2011 and has included myself and my wife on the policy and this cost £1700 in October. He now has a job and has checked for quotes based on this change. The annual premium has fallen to £700 just because of his move from unemployed to employed.

Don't know what your employment status is Col88, but may be worth changing your job description to see if it makes a difference.

your right mate , the reason i told you what my son does for a living is that because he lives in the camp and the car is in the camp low chance of theft if any but also no travelling to work as hes already there
