Ah yes, the Dashing White Seargeant and St Bernard's Waltz...were you one of those naughty boys who were chased by Tally-ho et al around the circle of couples in the hall during rehearsals?

Remember having to give up PE/Games lessons two weeks before Christmas to go and practice/rehearse the ballroom dancing - including one called the 'Gay Gordons.' Trevor forester used to demonstrate the steps with a female teacher from the Girl's School, perhaps one of those already mentioned. If you didn't chose a partner at the rehearsals, Garth Tollitt from the PE dept' used to threaten to find you one - shortest with tallest, thinnest with fattest, etc. Happy days!!!

Yup - 'Les' Behan (could that really have been his name?) - never ever seen wearing anything other than that spanglesy blue tracksuit

That ballroom dancing scarred me for years, especially when you had to ask a girl to dance. I recall one year St. Joseph's wouldnt come out for our annual fight... in case we asked them to do a Foxtrot!
