I was under the impression that game time was measured by a "timekeeper" not by Skys clock?

Who presses the stop and start buttons I'm not sure, but..............
Watch the game tonight, and I'll give you a cast-iron guarantee that the hooter will go as the Sky clock hits 00.00.
I think it's even the case with BBC matches as well, but I stand to be corrected on that one.

I've just spoken with my mate who's a qualified referee, and he informs me that Sky clock, is linked
directly
and runs parallel with that of the offical timekeeper's equipment, so when one stops / re-starts, so does the other.

Where is the margin meter this week? How desperate is Phil Clarke in wanting to sound controversial. No wonder they gave him this
spangles
toy to play with.

and to be fair, had salford carried on the rest of the game at 86% completion and saints at 55% thats somthing you would expect.
what alot of people seem to be missing with the margin meter is that it only states the predicted out come assuming the stats up to the point of prediction continue until the end of the game.

Precisely. Hence the fluctuation. It works like the old Clappometer on Opportunity Knocks.

My mate does the stats at Swinton, and he tells me that................
The instructions fron on high (at our place) are, if we score, or are awarded a penalty, before that last tackle, it goes down as a completed set.

So in effect it's telling you what you already know, ie that one or other side has the upper hand, at that particular point in time

In our game with Wakey they were really piling on the pressure, we score a charge down and then we were down to win. IMO the stats would have been probably swaying Wakey's before our score. Be interesting to see if it ever shows a score reversal 'going off stats' as atm I can only recall it ever showing the winning side as winning?

Whoever came up with the idea must be laughing all the way to the bank. Closely followed by Phil Clarke. Keeping that Wigan tool in a job. He can't effectively analyse what is actually going on, so relies on debating this guff and recalling meanigless stats. His desperation to sound radical and controversial is embarrassing. Garry Schofield had it spot on in last week's League Express regarding Sky's coverage. First time I've ever agreed with him.

Nah i think it was more likely that there were a lot more Aussies watching and Sky didn't want the
tizer
taken out of them globally
