Thought they had trained on it for weeks. Did they not notice? Not train on it? Not train full contact?

Strange to be complaining if they have been working out on it.

No matter how much you try, you can never replicate a real match.

it may well do. but soc has said it is a money making exercise.... I cannot remember a rl season wgere there has been a fixture pile up due to bad weather, so the pitch is purley a ££££££££££££ gathering tool ....

On reflection IMO it was a quite reckless decision really. With there being no history (as far as I am aware) of pitches like this being used for rugby, there was always going to be the 'what if' factor. If it is a real issue, the RFL are not going to put up with it for long are they? Apparantly they use pitches like ours for NFL, but then again they use pads + long pants. We have took a massive risk + even if there had been studies done to support the use of these pitches, until matches had actually been played, no-one knew if there was going to be any complaints or not.

The way the club has sold the idea however was that injuries would definately not be an issue. Sounds like its been done on a bit of a whim really. I thought the club were supposed to be developing the ICI rec as a training venue - why did they HAVE to mess with the pitch? It looked OK to me but then again I don't have to play on it.

I was against th I pitch from the start but TBH i knew nothing about them at all. The thing that i said in the past is that we seem to have become the RFL's blue eyed boys and i wonder if any other team would of been allowed to have an I pitch ?

Just watched cravens try again and mathers didn't look like he wanted to slide an tip ball out of play which allowed danny to score. As for players gettin cuts I thought they were rugby players not ballerinas any player coming off the pitch not grazed obviouisly didn't work hard enough

Maybe players should wear a vest to prevent burns on the arms.Seems like a bad decision the pitch to be honest. Will it be better in the summer and less bristle, as not seen it myself.
