Lautiti and the ref
«
on:

Was quite shocked to see Lautiti appeal to the ref for the sinbinning, but unfortunately not too surprised to see the ref agree, although he didn't seem to sure untile then.
Have said on footy threads on off-topic forum, I'm appalled that a professional player would be so underhand (imo) as to try to get the ref to send another player off, just stand back and let him make his own decision. Hope we don't see this creeping into RL more and more

Part I didn't like was him thanking the ref and patting him on his back! Very 'matey'!

A number of wakey players were in the refs face at various points last night but the 10 minute gesture by Lauititi was shocking. Smacks of a team desperate to gain any advantage.

You could hear the ref tell him he wasn't happy being patted on the back, I think he sin binned him,for swearing at the penalty decision to be honest, so was nothing to do with Lautiti

Ray on, you might be right mate!
Just watching the try where Ah Van tugged the players shirt - the tug didn't hold Fox back as his momentum did more - BUT first player to complain to ref? Lautiti!
As one of my favourite players in SL for entertainment value, Lautiti is going down in my estimation!

I would love to see Lautiti play for us.........he was one of the best players on the pitch and brings a huge enjoyment to the game!

He did Pop, and I think that was a mistake by Agar. I did wonder if Wakey ran out of interchanges as Lautiti hampered with cramp for the last 10

I agree Rayvon, he said 'Ali I don't need that'. He was sin binning him from the moment he penalised him, nothing to do with Cross swearing. And in truth only backed up the warning he issued to us earlier in the half for three back to back high tackles in the space of a few minutes. As soon as he blew for a high shot I expected a card.

You didn't see this on the telly but I thought as Cross was walking away Thaler made the 'gobby' sign to indicate dissent

So sin binned for high (persistant) shot and marched ten for the back chat. Both stupid pens, we need to start bending our backs to cut out these stupid pens, we were getting pinged then getting frustrated and giving away more. So cut out the initial ones and inevitably you should lose the frustration ones and may just stay in single figures for pens each game. We will not win many giving what was it 13 pens per game! 29 missed tackles doesn't help either defense and good clean defense is essential if we want to finish in a reasonable position.
