If you are getting the train up there, I highly recommend The Kings Head or The Head of Steam, both on the platform and part of the 'rail ale trail'.

The Kings Head is a bit spit and saw dust but still an excellent pint and good atmosphere.

The Head of Steam is tidier but you habe to leave the station and walk around to the other side.  Both a bus/taxi from the ground but well worth going early for!

I went to university in huddersfield, there used to be a pub at the cinema side of the ground, however not been back since we last played there!!! It used to be quite full of home fans, there are plenty of pubs in the town centre, ranging from Wetherspoons. Lloyds, yates, and a yellow card pub all on the same street, its about 15-20 minutes walk from the town to the ground....lets hope it is on!!!!  Smiley

The Grove is the best pub in Huddersfield, has an excellent selection http://www.groveinn.co.uk it's only a 10 minute walk from the station.

The one between the Galpharm and the cinema is pants.

The Head of Steam next door to the station is your best bet if coming over by train.
